First National Bank
Outstanding Debit Card Authorisation Not Expiring

Business & Finance

Traveled to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for work purposes period 11/26 to 12/02.
Paid for hotel with my personal FNB cheque card. On first day paid for 3 nights deposits, $642
Received FNB notification of funds reserved, R 7306 on 11/26
Settled hotel on 12/01, $769, thus total hotel bill was $1411
Received FNB notification of funds reserved, R 8767 on 12/01
Received FNB notification of funds paid, R 16162 on 12/06

As of today 01/09 the amount of R 16000 is still reflecting as "Outstanding Debit Card Authorisation"
Therefore those funds that are in my bank account but not available for further transactions.
Available balance is appearing as current balance minus this R 16000.
Thus in effect it appears as if i have paid the R 16000 twice since I am not able to use the R 16000 which is reserved for outstanding debit card authorisation but infact this was already paid over month ago.

Very poor service provider and bad quality systems that cause such problems.
When does the Outstanding Debit Card Authorisation Expire?
When will FNB notice amount was already paid and withdrawn from my account in early December.
