Xbids
This scam of a company won't send my winnings in spite of repeated emails

Internet & Web

I got duped into trying xbids when I got automatically charged for bids just because I registered. They claimed they would refund my money when I complained, but before I figured that out, I fell into the trap of trying a bid. I won a $10 gift card with ONE bid that I didn't even mean to make... very suspicious... I have wondered if they did that on purpose to get me hooked... which of course it did.
Then I bought more bids and continued to win or buy various gift cards. Some arrived during the 2 weeks they promise, others did not. I had 3 wins from the same company... after getting one, they said there was a problem with the company and I would be getting Walmart replacement... I received only 1 of the remaining 2 and I have been going round and round with them over this missing win and they keep sending excuses and "textbook" responses that are useless to my exact issue.
Currently I am writing them constantly about the last 3 gift cards that were won BEFORE Christmas and they maintain they are in the mail... where to??? China???
I'm going to try a Credit card dispute, but since the charges are not for the exact amount of the cards owed me, I am not hopeful...
I should have checked them out first! STAY AWAY from xbids!!!
