International Management
Rip-off waste of time

Miscellaneous

I recently was looking for employment and ran across an ad that I thought was so vague that I had to find out what it was about.

The ad read: Will Train International Company seeking entry level managemnet positions. No experience necessary. Call or Fax.

I called and set up an appointment. When I went into the office I thought - the girls greeting me were over enthusiastic. They then proceeded to ask me to fill out a "get to know you sheet" and asked if I had brought a pen with to fill it out.

Any time a legitimate company has you fill out anything they automatically give you the necessary equipment to do whatever it is that they ask of you.

My second impression was - they put me in a small room with a lot of chairs and asked me to sit where I wanted and fill out the sheet they gave me.

The get to know you sheet asked for personal information that employers are not legally allowed to ask for on applications. The room they set me up in was also dirty.

A gentleman, Andy, then came in and asked me to go with to his office where he spoke very fast and asked me some questions regarding previous employment and so forth.

He then proceeded to tell me how good at his job he was and since he was so good at it he could offer an on the spot 2nd interview appointment for the following Thursday at 12:00. I accepted the appointment.

I then rehashed everything that had happened and decided I would look the company up online. Nothing appeared when I did the www.worldperfume.com so I did a search.

That is when I came upon this site and read the information. I then called them back and started asking more questions. Of course, Andy was not available to speak with me at the time so Chris took the call.

He informed me that since I had so many questions regarding the company and so forth that he would set up an individual appointment for me on another day but would have to call me back with that information. I'm sure I will not receive a call back from them.

I thank this site for saving me from the scam they are now trying to pull off here in Illinois. I hope my notes in turn help someone else. Good Luck to anyone who gets sucked in.
