On 9/26/06 I spoke with Allen Greenburg at GreenTree Capital and he said I was approved for a $5000 loan and all I had to do was wire $700 to Canada to get the money wired to my bank account within 24 hours. I was in desparate need of the money, so I used my rent money to do so.
Well on 9/27/06 I received a call from Arthur Miles stating I would have to wire another $700 for the $5000 loan. At that point I got really upset and Arthur got quite irate and crazy, I asked to speak to his supervisor, he said he was the supervisor then i asked to speak to Allen Greenburg he told me that he wouldn't be able to help me because he personally trained Allen.
I said I would like a full refund of the money and he said they would not be able to give me my money until October 18th, I told him it was unacceptable that I wanted my money wired to me..He said to me 'what do you want me to do fly to Canada' I said no I want you to call the lending person and have them wire it back. he said they refused so I would have to wait until the next billing cycle which was October 18th. I then asked for that in writing.
I received a fax on 9/29/06 that I will receive $848 on October 18th, signed by their CEO Harold D. Hall. With all this happening my bank account got overdrawn, bills have been late and let alone the stress of how i am going to get through this. I was expecting this money back today and now their #s don't work their website has all the contact information off of it. They really got over all of us it looks like.
I want justice. i am a single mom and just don't have that kind of money lying around. i want the money owed to me plus compensation for my pain and agony this has caused, over $100 in NSF fees with my bank, etc. knowing i may not get justice though, lesson learned. i had another company call me a few weeks ago regarding the same kind of loan and i basically told them to f-off..
Anyone out there that can help me please.. I have a complaint filed with FTC and with BBB and an email with Dateline NBC. This has really put stress in my life and I just want justice.
