Fiberlocity
Is a fraudulent ripoff company that has apparently has disappeared

I signed up for Fiberlocity on July 10, because it advertised on its website:

$7.95 a month for webhosting,
including FREE domain registration

Fiberlocity also said it had customers worldwide, big and small, and that it had been around for 20 years!

I should have become suspicious when I went onto its forum, and there were only a handfull of posts, probably somewhere between 4-8 posts from customers asking questions. There were also only a handful of responses from Igor Amburg, who apparently runs this ship.

Even after that, I would have been fine, BUT, as of today, July 23, I have not been able to get onto either fiberlocity.com, any of the other pages they sent me, nor can I reach my own domain that Fiberlocity is supposed to be hosting.

I tried to call the 800 number, but as in the past, there was no answer, and I just got a message saying that the voicemail box was full.

To top it all off, I check my bank account, and although they had advertised free domain registration along with my monthly web hosting fee, I've been charged $25 for domain registration.

The money's not a big deal, but I've been lied to, and now Fiberlocity, along with my website, seems to be gone. I found another consumer complaints on here by someone else who discovered that Igor Amburg has owned other webhosting companies before Fiberlocity (Championhosting, etc.), and that Fiberlocity has only been around since January.

Now I need to figure out how to transfer my domain to another (more reliable) webhosting company.
