Social Security MasterCard DirectExpress Return Policy from Merchant

Its a minor complait but can become a major issue for individuals that really need the money after a purchase.

Recently I pre-order some Automobile parts Later in the day when the funds were debited from my Acct I didnt need all the parts that were ordered. I brought the none needed iteams to the store they swiped the DirectExpress card and done, I was told the funds were to be on the card immed well low and behold no funds were back on the card. So I called C/S 1888-741-1115 spoke to a rep and was told it can take up to 5 calendar days. OK suck the merchant can get paid immediate but I got to wait 5 days but all cards are like this so wasnt sweating the details yet wasnt happy either.

Anyway 5 days go by BUSINESS DAYS so i didnt count the weekend and STILL no money called back no a C/S rep tells me when a Merchant swipes your card for a returned iteam it can take up to 30 days to get refund, Meanwhile im out 285.00 im on the 29th day still no money IDK who to call Advance auto Parts in NJ has it shown and cleared on there end I have reciept stating such, Direct Express shows nothing WTF is going here there is a reason why I pay cash and take all the funds out as soon as I get paid seem everytime you use the card there is a hidden fee and god forbid if you have to return something. 285.00 isnt chump change I want my D*MN REFUND!!!
