I am a current user of Amerivan Lines. When we decided to move from Houston (TX) to New Jersey they gave us the lowest price and told us how professional they were. They would try and contact you in every possibleway and make sure you give them business. They also promise you the stars. Those crooks promised us the delivery of our goods in 5-7 days and after they loaded the truck they called to say that the price would be 3 times more of what they had initially quoted. Also (RICO) one of their truckers said that he will not load the truck unless we pay 75% of the total.
At this my husband disagreed cause according to the contract we had to pay only 50% advance which we had already done. Initially Amerivan Lines had told us that they are not brokers and they had their own trucks but later we got to know that they had given the contract to some local guy (RICO) who was another liar and a cheat based in Houston.
Now we are practically calling them 3-4 times daily and the manager at Amerivan Lines (JAY) says that he does not have our stuff anymore. NOw we are forced to deal with RICO whom we have not signed the contract at all. It has been 25 days not that they have our stuff and we do not know how and in what condition it is. We are new in this place and do not know who to call for HELP and guidance.
To add to all this they are extremely rude and do not care about your luggage at all. I would advise all who have to move to NEVER NEVER take the services of these cheat and liars coz once they have your stuff they will make you dance on their fingers and you will not have a way out unless pay them and retrieve your stuff.
Please do not listen to any of their customer services ladies like Mitchelle or Lorrain who promise you the best professional move and then will either keep you on hold for hours or never take your call once they have your goods.
And by the way even if they agree to co-operate they have nothing in their hands so DO NOT TRUST THEM.
try and FREE your luggage from them as soon as possible
I have had a terrible experience with them and have been still calling them everyday to know when i would get my luggage back.
I am more than willing to screw up their business at any cost
