In November of if I'm not mistaken, I went to the Manhattan Beach 24 Hour Fitness and paid hundreds of dollars upfront and was promised a yearly $29 membership. They recently e-mailed me that it would increase and also sent me a bill for $79, which is unacceptable. What will it be next? Hundreds of dollars in increase? The principle and dishonesty will not be accepted.
I called them - 866-726-4497 (Flood them with calls and complaints!). They said Clause 3C states that they can raise rates if they need to. I still have my contract. I can double check the verbiage. Also, mail them: 24 Hour Fitness, Member Services, PO Box 2689 Carlsbad, CA 92018 (Flood them with complaints!). Who will be our lawyer? Who can find a lawyer who will take this on? Is there already a firm working on this case? I will personally make the phone calls if I have to. This is disgusting behavior. It's time for a lawsuit. And it is so because companies partake in disgustingly dishonest and misleading behavior.
